Set a target body weight

Wellness is about nutrition, fitness, and the inner experiences of well-being. For many people, these converge in their body image, and more specifically their weight. For most people, perhaps the single best way to tell if you are thanking your body is if you are maintaining a correctbody weight. Hence to know, and strive for, a target body weight is an excellent starting point for all the wellness best practices. 

People are less likely to mention their body image when answering the question who am I? thanwhen discussing their future self. Body image is more of an external goal than a component of self for many people. The first step is to determine a target body weight. There are many online calculators to do this. Usually they quote a range based on height, age, and, in more sophisticated ones, bone structure. There are many web-based tools to help you set a target weight, here’s an example. 

It is best to work with your primary care physician and to do so mindful of other important metrics like blood pressure.  Although it poses challenges for many people, there is no need to regard hitting your target body weight as a mysterious process. Ultimately it is mostly about balancing caloric intake against how many calories you burn. Eat better, eat less, move more. 

It’s a pieceof cake, right?Pun intended. The key is to be mindful of your body weight goal and your real body weight. Although it can be counterproductive in some cases,one simpleway to sustain focus on thegoalisweighyourself at least a couple of times each week.
